AEON MIRA X Brings Industrial 150W RF CO₂ Power and AI Automation to Desktop Laser Cutting

AEON Laser Technology is preparing to launch the MIRA X, a new desktop CO₂ laser cutter and engraver that the company says redefines what a benchtop laser system can achieve. At its core is a 150W premium RF CO₂ laser tube—a power class rarely found in desktop-format machines—paired with AI-powered vision and automation features designed for batch production.

The MIRA X is aimed at individual makers, design studios, and small manufacturers who need industrial-grade output without the floor space or cost of a traditional industrial laser system. According to AEON, it is the most powerful desktop CO₂ laser currently available.

Industrial Power, Desktop Footprint

The MIRA X is built around a 150W RF CO₂ laser source, which AEON describes as bringing “industrial-grade brute force” to the desktop. RF metal tube lasers differ from conventional glass CO₂ tubes in several important ways: they are air-cooled rather than water-cooled, offer longer operational lifespans, and deliver faster pulse rates for finer engraving and more consistent cutting.

AEON has paired that power with an expanded workspace, allowing users to batch-produce smaller items efficiently or handle larger custom projects. The machine is positioned as suitable for both individuals and studios.

Hyper-Speed and Micro-Precision

Speed and precision are central to the MIRA X’s pitch. AEON says the system delivers industry-leading 8G acceleration and speeds up to 3000 mm/s, with enough accuracy to reproduce detail down to a razor-sharp 2.5pt font.

The machine uses a premium ball-screw drive system. According to AEON, this “shatters the limits of desktop engraving,” delivering the fastest CO₂ laser cutting speeds in history without compromising micron-level accuracy.

VisionFlow: Smart Vision for Print-to-Cut and Batch Work

A major differentiator is the VisionFlow Mark Point Cutting System. VisionFlow automatically detects registration marks on printed materials and precisely matches cutting paths to designs. AEON says this delivers accurate print-to-cut results with less manual setup and reduced material waste.

The system also includes VisionFlow AI-Powered Feature Match for batch automation. With one click, users can automatically fill designs on batch products, allowing the MIRA X to handle repetitive tasks with high precision. AEON describes the result as high-efficiency, flexible mass production from a desktop machine.

Automation-Ready Production

The MIRA X features a four-side pass-through chassis for versatile flatbed and fixture feeding. It also offers PLC compatibility, allowing customers to add different modules and drive a more automated manufacturing process.

For tumbler and cylindrical workpiece engraving, AEON offers the HexaTurn multi-position rotary table. The fixture platform can securely hold up to six tumblers or workpieces at once, making repetitive and batch engraving more efficient.

The MIRA X also supports dual laser sources. Its CO₂ laser handles a wide range of non-metal materials, while an optional 50W fiber laser module unlocks precise metal engraving capabilities.

Smarter Workflow and Maintenance

The MIRA X is designed around an end-to-end workflow with an intuitive full-touch interface. AEON says the system enables faster setups and zero hassle, supported by native software that “bridges the gap between your imagination and the laser beam.”

Maintenance has also been addressed. AEON’s tool-less maintenance optics are designed to cut downtime by 90%, with no tools and no realignment required for instant uptime. The machine also features a Dual-Zone Ventilation System and Smart Dual Air Assist with high and low pressure, which AEON says delivers faster cutting speeds and flawless, char-free edges on thick materials.

Customization and the MIRA X Series

AEON is positioning the MIRA X as part of a broader series: “Three Machines, Infinite Possibilities.” The company also notes that the side panels of the MIRA 6X and MIRA 9X can be customized and replaced with user designs, allowing owners to give their machine a uniquely personal look.
