AKASO Brave 6 Plus Action Camera with Voice Control is coming

Around Actioncams it has become somewhat calmer with us lately. With AKASO we have a new manufacturer, who has been selling cameras quite successfully via Amazon for a long time. The latest model is the 4K camera AKASO Brave 6 Plus.

If the latest models from GoPro, DJI and Insta360 are beyond your budget, you have to look for alternatives. The Brave 6 Plus is supposed to cost $119, or about 110€, which is well below the top models that cost 200-400€.

The maximum resolution is native 4K with a framerate of 30 fps. Full HD is possible with up to 60 fps. Both is sufficient for private use. There is also an electronic image stabilisation to guarantee smooth video recordings – one of the most important features of an action cam.

An external microphone can be connected to improve the audio quality, but there is also one built into the camera. Voice control of the camera is then also possible. The manufacturer also offers an app as an additional type of control. This is available for Android and iOS, but it hasn’t yet received good reviews. The camera itself is operated via a touchscreen.

If you buy the camera, you don’t have to worry about missing accessories, as the manufacturer promises to include the most important parts. There is of course an underwater case (up to 40m) and various brackets such as a bicycle mount and a helmet kit. This is often the case with rather cheap cameras, while the more expensive models often lack it.

It’s hard to estimate what the camera can hold in total. The price is okay for the promised performance and especially with the included accessories the camera could be a good complete package for beginners. The manufacturer’s AKASO V50 in its various versions is very popular on Amazon, and its mostly good reviews also stand up to the review check. You can see more cameras of the brand here.

As far as the Brave 6 Pus is concerned, we are at least optimistic, even if it is still too early for a real review. There is also some information missing like the battery life. If you want to give the camera a chance anyway, you can pre-order it for $119 on the manufacturer’s website.
