Aurzen, a rising name in smart projection technology, has unveiled the ZIP Pro at IFA 2026 in Berlin (September 4–8). This new model builds directly on the success of the original Aurzen ZIP – the world’s first tri‑fold truly portable projector – and introduces a host of meaningful upgrades in design, optics, intelligence, and battery life.
Following earlier appearances at CES 2026 and MWC 2026, the ZIP Pro arrives with a refined aesthetic and improved build quality, yet it retains the iconic Tri‑Fold Full HD form factor that made the original so pocket‑friendly. When folded, it remains compact enough to slip into any pocket; when opened, it can project onto almost any surface – including ceilings – at nearly any angle, with no cables, Wi‑Fi, or complicated setup required.

Optical Engine & Image Quality
At the heart of the ZIP Pro lies a 10.7mm ultra‑thin optical engine – one of the slimmest in its class. Despite its minimal thickness, it delivers native 1080P DLP projection with full HD resolution. The DLP chipset, combined with an upgraded light path, ensures crisp details and vivid colours, whether you are watching movies in a dim room or sharing content outdoors at dusk.
Auto Focus & Keystone Correction
The ZIP Pro inherits the Time‑of‑Flight (ToF) autofocus and automatic keystone correction from its predecessor, but with improved speed and accuracy. The moment you unfold the device, it instantly adjusts focus and corrects any trapezoidal distortion, delivering a perfectly rectangular, sharp image within seconds – without any manual intervention.

Battery Life & Charging
One of the most requested improvements from early ZIP users has been addressed: the ZIP Pro now offers up to 2.5 hours of continuous video playback on a single charge – a significant jump from the original model’s roughly 1.5‑hour runtime. It also supports USB‑C PD (Power Delivery) fast charging, allowing quick top‑ups between uses.
Audio Performance
The audio system has been completely redesigned. While the original ZIP featured dual 1W stereo speakers, the ZIP Pro employs higher‑powered drivers and refined tuning, drawing on Aurzen’s audio expertise from its BOOM series (which includes dual 10W Dolby Audio speakers with VibeBass™). The result is richer, fuller sound that matches the large‑screen experience. For wireless listening, Bluetooth 5.4 remains available.

Flexible Connectivity & Smart Features
The ZIP Pro supports seamless screen mirroring from Android, iOS, Windows, and macOS devices. With the optional CastPlay Pro wireless USB‑C dongle, users can plug‑and‑play streaming from Netflix, Disney+, and other platforms, while also supporting gaming consoles and pass‑through charging. It is fully compatible with Aurzen’s accessory ecosystem, including the MagPlay magnetic stand (360‑degree adjustable) and the PowerPlay 3‑in‑1 stand with an extra 10,000mAh battery for extended usage.
On the software side, the ZIP Pro features Aurzen’s AirLink mirroring technology, which enables one‑tap screen sharing without requiring Wi‑Fi – ideal for on‑the‑go scenarios.
Certification & Transparency
Like all Aurzen products, the ZIP Pro is SGS‑certified and adheres strictly to ANSI/ISO 21118 standards, ensuring that all brightness and performance specifications are measured accurately and transparently – no inflated claims.
Availability
The Aurzen ZIP Pro will be available for pre‑order shortly after IFA 2026, with shipping expected by the end of the year. Pricing will be announced closer to the official launch. Attendees can experience the ZIP Pro firsthand at Aurzen’s IFA booth, where live demonstrations will showcase its versatility in settings ranging from in‑car entertainment and camping trips to creative studio work.
With the ZIP Pro, Aurzen has not merely iterated on a beloved product – it has redefined what a pocket‑sized projector can deliver. Brighter, louder, longer‑lasting, and smarter, the ZIP Pro sets a new benchmark for ultra‑portable projection.
