The Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite 8 is an 8-inch screen device with a somewhat less panoramic format than usual (specifically 16:10) aimed at both content playback and productivity. As for the characteristics of the panel, part of the well – known IPS LCD technology and a Full HD resolution whose pixel density leaves us 283 dots per inch. For the rest, the tablet is made of aluminum in two pains, black and gold, and the size leaves us a height and width of only 20 and 12 centimeters respectively; the weight stays in about 310 grams. In this aspect, the Huawei tablet is not one of the most compact on the market, although it is more successful than the Apple iPad Mini?
The Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite 8, like its twin sister, the Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite 10, is destined for the mid-range market. On this occasion we find some news against the aforementioned tablet presented during the past year. In summary, we find a Kirin 710 processor next to the Mali G51 MP4 GPU, 3 and 4 GB of RAM and 32 and 64 GB of internal storage . Recall that last year’s model was based on a Kirin 659 and only 3 and 32 GB of memory. The good thing is that there is a variant with 4G LTE connectivity.
As for the rest of the features, the MediaPad M5 Lite 8 does not present much news about the previous generation. WiFi a / c, GPS GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.2, micro USB 2.0 port and mini jack for headphones. It has no fast charge , and its battery is 5,100 mAh. We will have to see how it behaves in long periods of use, although the integration of EMUI 9 as a base system predicts a good management of autonomy, at least under our experience with other terminals.
When we talk about a tablet, we do not expect to find large cameras or sensors with different types of lenses. The MediaPad M5 Lite 8 is no exception. With a camera of 13 megapixels and aperture of focus f/2.2 in the back and an 8 megapixel camera and focal aperture f/2.0 in the front, the results in photography are far from those of other mobiles of the brand, at least That is what the theory tells us. For the capture of documents and video calls, the quality seems more than enough.
But if there is something that stands out from the tablet above other features, that is the sound. Double signed stereo speaker located at the top and bottom signed by Harman Kardon is what we find in the 8-inch version of the MediaPad M5 Lite. In this regard, quality is expected both in volume and in shades that are above average.
