LG distributes AirPlay 2 and HomeKit for its ThinQ AI TVs

LG distributes tomorrow a new firmware for its televisions of the year 2019 of the series ThinQ AI. Apple fans have reason to be pleased, because the update introduces support for both Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit on the TVs. LG had already confirmed the release of the update for mid-year at the end of May.

Users will receive the firmware tomorrow. However, LG will almost certainly roll out the update in steps, so you might have to wait a few more days. If you bring ThinQ AI with you, you might be able to update your NanoCell, OLED and UHD TVs from the South Korean manufacturer.

The distribution starts parallel in more than 140 countries, as LG states in its press release. AirPlay 2 lets you share content from iPhone, iPad and Mac with your TV, while HomeKit lets you control your smart home. I keep my fingers crossed for you that the new firmware will arrive as early as possible!
