Gweike, a well-established laser manufacturer with over two decades of industry experience, is expanding its desktop laser lineup with the upcoming Gweike G5 — a 5W ultraviolet (UV) laser marking machine that arrives in a fully enclosed, Class 1 laser-safe package. Drawing clear design inspiration from the xTool F2 Ultra UV, the G5 brings professional-grade UV cold-marking technology to the benchtop in a turnkey, safety-first form factor.

UV lasers operate at a 355nm wavelength — significantly shorter than diode (450nm+) or CO₂ (10,600nm) lasers. This short wavelength enables “cold processing”: instead of heating the material, UV photons break molecular bonds directly. The result is virtually zero heat-affected zones, no burning or charring, and pristine marks on materials that would melt, warp, or discolor under other laser types.

What sets the Gweike G5 apart is its fully enclosed design with Class 1 laser certification — a significant safety advantage over open-frame UV lasers that require external enclosures and dedicated laser safety eyewear. With a design language reminiscent of the xTool F2 Ultra UV, the G5 aims to deliver comparable UV performance at a more accessible price point, backed by Gweike’s extensive manufacturing heritage.
