Magicsee N5 Plus 8K Smart TV Box with Amlogic S905X3
Magicsee has introduced a new model of smart TV set-top box called Magicsee N5 Plus, which runs on the new Amlogic S905X3 processor. In addition, the novelty has a built-in bay for connecting a 2.5″ SSD or HDD disk up to 4 TB, which allows you to store a huge number of movies. The set-top box also features internal and removable external WiFi antennas supporting 2.4/5GHz, as well as a small LED display on the front panel.
The Magicsee N5 Plus TV set-top box includes the new SoC AMlogic S905X3, a quad-core Cortex-A55 processor with up to 1.9 GHz, and an integrated Mali-G31 MP2 GPU. This SoC also has an NPU for artificial intelligence. As a VPU is used Amlogic Video Engine 10 with support for HDR, HDR10+, HDR10, HLG and PRIME HDR, Dolby Vision. Support for multi-channel decoders up to 8K at 24 frames per second, 4K x 2K at 60 frames per second + 1 x 1080P at 60 frames per second, which provides a much more detailed and higher quality image.
Built-in 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of memory for storing a large number of movies and applications. With a preloaded screen recording application, you can record TV shows, audio, movies, and game play, and store them in memory for later viewing. Under the removable top cover there is a bay for installing a 2.5″ SSD or HDD disk up to 4 TB to expand the internal storage of files.
The Magicsee N5 Plus TV box has a good set of connectors: 2 USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports, 1000 Mbps LAN RJ45 Ethernet, SPDIF digital optical audio output, HDMI 2.1. Relatively wireless, the novelty supports Wifi Dual Band 2.4GHz/5GHz and Bluetooth 4.1. The set-top box is powered by a 12V power supply unit.
The new Magicsee N5 Plus TV box runs on the Android 9.0 operating system with a proprietary shell (see Magicsee N5 NOVA review) and is manually controlled to enable or disable root access (ROOT). There is also a proprietary application for hardware monitoring of the CPU, temperature, network, and RAM loading in real time.

Nice android streaming device
For me N5 Magicsee android box has been a very pleasant experience and exceeded my expectations. The hardware is state of the art and combined with 4 gbs of RAM and 64 gbs of internal memory, provides great streaming video quality. The clean and simple home screen launcher is easy to navigate and since the operating system is open android 9.0 along with a root on/off switch, there is a much wider variety of apps you can load on this device. Also important, this box is very well ventilated, unlike alot of other android devices. This allows for better heat dissipation from the processor, which can overheat if not properly ventilated.
