As expected, the OnePlus 6T will be “just” an incremental upgrade, according to the manufacturer’s tradition, before more new features are expected next year. With the new display, which is likely to work with 2340×1080 pixels and uses an OLED panel, but now holds a major innovation feeder – the fingerprint reader migrates from the back under the screen. He sits now like the distant relatives of the OnePlus 6T from the BBK Vivo Group in the lower part of the front, instead of on the back.

Visually, the OnePlus 6T changes only in moderation, because it remains with the well-known color scheme of the back of glass with the main colors Mirror Black and Midnight Black, with the main difference in the frosted surface of the second edition. It is noticeable, however, that OnePlus no longer relies on a large “notch” in the 6T, but instead changes the design to a “waterdrop” notch, in which only the front camera is accommodated. The upper front speaker is now in a recess above the camera.

Headphone jack away, more space for the battery

Technically, the new model remains well apart from the battery, which should hold according to previous reports 3700mAh, largely unchanged. The larger battery is likely to be a direct result of the growth of the device, with the elimination of the headphone jack provides more space in the case, which is now probably used among other things for the battery.

The hoped for by some triple camera on the back still lacks the OnePlus 6T. Whether something has changed at the sensor equipment, we can not yet say. The position of the dual LED flash changes minimally, because you do without the fingerprint reader on the back. The operating system of course is Android 9.0 “Pie” .

Of course, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 is still under the hood, who already works in the “normal” OnePlus 6. The chip reaches the usual 2.8 gigahertz maximum clock rate and is combined as before with up to eight gigabytes of RAM. For internal memory, we are currently no data available, so it is unclear whether it still remains with 64 GB of internal flash memory as a minimum or the version with 128 GB standard.
