The manufacturer UrUAV offers a Toothpick nano racer, i.e. designed for committed flights, at a very light price. To limit the costs, the device is delivered in kit: it is up to you to assemble it! The manufacturer’s promise? You won’t need to draw the soldering iron, you just need a screwdriver and some patience. I’m going to try it because it’s a good thing, soldering irons don’t like me, and the screwdriver is included. For the patience, I will do violence.
The UZ80 is based on a carbon structure of 8 cm diagonal from motor to motor, for dimensions of 6.9 x 6.9 x 2.9 cm. The motors are brushless 0802 at 19000KV for two-bladed propellers HQProp of 4 cm with a hole of 1.5 mm. They are driven by a Crazybee F4 Lite AIO flight controller flashed with Betaflight. It’s an all-in-one: it includes a 5A BLheli_S 4-in-1 ESC, a 5.8 GHz 25 mW analog video transmitter compatible with 40 channels, and a FrSky or Flysky compatible SPI radio transmitter. The camera is a RunCam Nano 3 (800TVL).
The UZ80 expects a 1S power supply, with a PST PH2.0 connector. The battery is not provided. UrUAV recommends a 1S of 250 mAh for an autonomy of 3min40, a 300 mAh to hold 4min30, a 450 mAh for 6min30 of flight or a 650 mAh to go until 9 minutes! This will obviously be checked. Without its battery, the UZ80 weighs 19.5 grams.
