It would probably have been presented in Barcelona, at the MWC 2020 which will not be held this year, but the new Sony Xperia L4 was launched only with a short press release. This is the latest model of the Xperia L-Series, which includes entry-level devices with an elegant design and (some) outstanding technical features. This smartphone, in fact, stands out for at least three elements: a 21: 9 display, a triple rear camera and a 3580 mAh battery.
Sony Xperia L4 offers a 6.2-inch HD+ (1680 x 720 pixels) 21: 9 LCD display, so compact that it can be easily held in the palm of a hand and so large that it displays more content without having to scroll down.
In addition, Sony’s multi-window user interface allows you to open and use two different apps at the same time, without problems with screen space. The Side Sense feature allows you to easily access your favorite apps.
Xperia L4 is the first Sony L-series product to integrate a triple camera with 13 MP (f/2.0) main lens, 5 MP and 117° ultra-wide-angle lens (f/2.2) and 2 MP “depth camera” ( F/2.4), with which you can fully express your creativity and take high quality artistic photographs with wonderful bokeh effects. Switching from wide angle to ultra wide angle you can acquire the complete picture of the image and easily obtain any type of shot, from beautiful landscapes to beautiful portraits. Finally, thanks to the 21: 9 display, you can record videos and capture photos with an incredible 21: 9 ratio. On the front there is instead an 8 MP (f/2.0) and 78° camera for selfies .
The hardware platform is based on a MediaTek MT6762 processor, flanked by 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory expandable up to 512GB with microSD cards. Do not miss WiFi 802.11n, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and a USB Type-C port for charging. The long-lasting 3,580 mAh battery with fast charging will accompany you without problems even on the most demanding days, to allow you to do everything you love. The technology Sony Xperia Adaptive Charging monitors the phone while charging the battery to make sure you do not overload or damage.
We would like to point out that Sony Xperia L4, in the dimensions of 159 x 71 x 8.7 mm and in the weight of 178 grams, also includes a fingerprint reader and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The operating system is Android 9.0 Pie.
Xperia L4 will be available in two colors (black and blue) in selected markets from spring 2020. The sale price has not yet been announced.
