Xiaomi has been dominating the robotic vacuum cleaner market for quite some time, and is responsible for the two top models of the Chinese tech giant, the Mi Robot and the RoboRock Sweep One. The manufacturer 360 Mobiles has made a name for itself over the last few years in China with budget smartphones and wants to shake the Xiaomi monopoly. The chances are not too bad with the 360 S6 Robotic Vacuum Cleaner.
Visually, the robotic vacuum cleaner looks as if you have the new Xiaomi Xiaowa a dome packed on the top. We know this dome from the two Xiaomi suckers, here is the laser distance sensor, over which the robot misses the premises. The 360 S6 Sweeping Robot then creates a map of the four walls that can be displayed in the app. By scanning the premises, the teator finds the most efficient way through the apartment and does not drive against furniture.
The created maps can also be saved and used the next time you use the vacuum robot. The robotic vacuum cleaner does not need to invest extra time to re-measure the premises. In addition, there is also the room layout, with which you can pretend the vacuum robot on the map, where he should not suck.
The loading time is unfortunately not specified, the working time is 2 hours and should allow for pre-created map even cleaning rooms up to 200 m². Thus, the vacuum robot is not only suitable for homes, but also for houses.
In addition, different suction modes can be selected via the app, the vacuum robot can be steered via remote control and schedule working hours. The field of SmartHome devices is not new territory for the manufacturer 360 Mobiles, already in the past, the Chinese company made products that could be controlled via app. When naming “360” but it is quite possible that one has copied something from Dyson.
The 360 Sweeping Robot brings the same result on the scoreboards as the Mi Robot with a suction power of 1800 pa, so it is very absorbent and also suitable for carpets. This is also confirmed by the carpet recognition, whereby the 360 switches the suction power to 1500 pa and “thorough cleaning”.
Despite the high suction power, it only has an operating volume of 65 dB and is thus as loud as most models (comparison Mi Robot: 68 dB). With dimensions of 35 x 35 x 10 cm, however, it is a bit too high to get under every piece of furniture like a sofa.
In addition to the height is a small, another shortcoming with 0.42 l quite small dust chamber. Even though the dust chambers of the Xiaomi vacuum cleaners are only slightly larger, they will fill up quite quickly and have to be emptied manually. The dust chamber contains three different filters: a primary filter, a sponge filter and the allergy-friendly HEPA filter.
The underside looks pretty much the same as the Xiaomi robotic vacuum cleaner, only found here employing only one pair of brush heads . The big tires and the middle brush are also found here. In contrast to the RoboRock, there are only two control elements on the front of the vacuum robot, with which the vacuum cleaner can be controlled by pressing a button. A button is used to switch the nipple on and off, while the other one sends the nipple back to the charging station.
As if that were not already a lot of features, the 360 Sweeping Robot also has a wipe function. For this you will find a 150 ml small water tank and a mop. Unfortunately, the robotic vacuum cleaner can not suck and wipe at the same time. How good the wiping function is, can not be estimated accurately at a distance.
The 360 Sweeping Robot suction robot is not only visually on a wavelength with the Xiaomi models, the technical data are more than worthy of a serious competitor. In terms of price, the 360 is on a par with the RoboRock Sweep One, making it one of the more expensive models from China. But the robotic vacuum also brings with it the currently maximum amount of features (except Alexa control).
If the 360 Sweeping Robot did not mean competition for the Chinese top dog Xiaomi, one could think that Xiaomi himself would have put in here due to the optics and the built-in technology. Since there are no indications to find so far, one can speak in good conscience of a real competition for the tech giant.
