The 5″ racers of the moment are making an effort to lose weight! AuroraRC’s latest racer is based on a carbon X frame, with a 21 cm motor-to-motor diagonal for dimensions of 17,5 x 17,5 x 6 cm and a weight, without battery, of 175 grams. Too bad, it is not under the 250 grams bar. But its featherweight can allow him to hope for a nice autonomy!
Underneath the center fairing (3D printed it seems) is a F411 flight controller paired with a 35A BLheli_S 4-in-1 ESC. The pair drives 1606 brushless motors at 2700KV for Gemfan 5125-3 three-bladed propellers. The video part is provided by a Ratel2 camera from Caddx, a 1200TVL whose angle is adjustable between 25 and 45°, whose images are broadcasted by a 5.8 GHz analog TBS Unify Pro32 Nano video transmitter, capable of transmitting between 25 mW (the maximum allowed in France) and 500 mW (where allowed) The Funny5 can be delivered without a radio receiver, or with a Flysky, XM+ Frsky, AC900 compatible Futaba S-FHSS and FrSky, or Crossfire Nano receiver from TBS.
You need a battery, not included. AuroraRC assures that the Funny5 is compatible with Lipo 3S to 6S, from 800 to 1300 mAh, with a XT60 connector.
