If there’s one thing Blackview is known for is its super-rugged phones and it’s that this brand is expert at creating phones that can withstand any condition, no matter how unfavorable or extreme. At the same time, Blackview prefers to offer discreet designs on its phones, differentiating itself from competitors that bet on more coarse and less aesthetic designs. With these premises, Blackview is about to present its new phone for early 2019 that has filtered almost completely, the Blackview BV5500 Pro, a phone with great design and incredible resistance.
Rugged phones have earned a place in the hearts of many and if Blackview bets on simpler designs like the one we see in this Blackview BV5500 Pro we are pretty sure they will get many more followers. These phones offer great batteries and great resistance, so for users who do not look for the top features but if these two elements, are the best alternatives we can find in the market today.
Blackview wanted to innovate in the design of rugged phones with this Blackview BV5500 Pro and has opted for an ergonomic design, which reminds us of the back finish of the Xiaomi Black Shark 3, which will make our hand is placed much more comfortable on the phone. The size of the terminal is compact or at least that seems before you know the exact dimensions and it has a 5.5 inch screen in 18:9 format with reduced frames, so it may be ideal for those who do not want a phone too large.
Regarding the resolution of this screen, it is HD+ and we have to take into account that this terminal will be part of the mid-range or input range according to the characteristics we know today. This screen has IPS technology and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and will be perfect to improve the battery consumption of the terminal, battery of which we still do not know its capacity.
If you are interested in internal hardware, the Blackview BV5500 Pro comes with a quad-core processor, the MediaTek MT6739 accompanied by 3 GB of RAM memory, which will be enough for our simple everyday tasks, such as consulting social networks or using messaging applications. With this low-performance processor, it is clear that we are facing an entry-level terminal, if we want something superior, perhaps the Blackview BV9700 Pro is more suited to our needs.
About the price and the date of the presentation of this Blackview BV5500 Pro is not known yet, but we do not expect it to be excessively expensive and taking into account its characteristics, it can be the perfect phone for those who want a mobile that can stand everything that is thrown on it but without having to spend too much money or for those who want a second phone for when hiking or camping for example. Be that as it may, keep an eye on the Blackview website to keep up to date with the latest news on this terminal.

Great phone. No fingerprint scanner but otherwise very good. However, United States arrivers have banned Chinese phones due to Huahue issue. Device has NO specs for USA cellullar networks. Not supported by Verizon. AT&T, etc. Waste of money for USA buyers.
