Chuwi Ubook Pro – Lightweight, Portable, High-Performance 2-in-1 Tablet

An inexpensive 2 in 1 device for work is currently very popular among a large group of users. Chuwi, the company that announced the launch of the UBook Pro, is directing its new product to them. It is an improved version of the Ubook design, which was introduced to the market this year. An important change is the use of a much newer and more efficient chip from the Intel Amber Lake family.

Chuwi UBook Pro is a 2-in-1 computer equipped with a 12.3” IPS screen and a 3:2 format. The manufacturer says that the resolution of the display is FHD, but with such a format it is certainly not a standard 1080P. The manufacturer has also decided to make a significant enhancement to the processor. The model M3-6Y30, present in the standard version of the UBook, was abandoned, replacing it with a more modern chip Intel Core M3-8100Y. This chip offers 2 cores and 4 threads, operates at the base frequency of 1.1 GHz and 3.4 GHz in Turbo, and its TDP is 5W.

On board was also an integrated Intel UHD Graphics 615 and 8GB of LPDDR3 RAM. The user has a 256GB SSD and TF card reader at his disposal. On the graphics we can see that the computer certainly provides two USB 3.0 ports, a headphone jack and video outputs. The set comes with a stylus that recognizes up to 2048 degrees of pressure. There is also a lightweight, backlit keyboard with a touch panel, which should be useful when working with text.

The whole thing weighs only 780 g, while the thickness of UBook Pro will be only 9 mm. The sale of the computer will start in two weeks. Unfortunately, there is no information on how much you will have to spend on it, but it will certainly be more expensive than a regular Chuwi UBook, costing about $500.
