It is a new Toothpick that the manufacturer Happymodel proposes. As a reminder, Toothpick are minimalist aircraft, with 1S or 2S batteries, two-bladed propellers, intended for committed flights. The Crux3 is based on a unibody carbon structure with thin arms, and a motor to motor diagonal of 11.5 cm. It measures 9.7 x 9.7 x 3.5 cm without the propellers. The motors are brushless EC1202.5 at 6400KV for Gemfan 3018 two-bladed propellers with a 1.5 mm hole.
The flight controller is a CrazyBeeX v2.2 based on an F4 processor, associated with a 4 in 1 ESC of 5A. Depending on the version, the CrazyBeeX can be a model with an integrated SPI receiver compatible with FrSky D8, Flysky or DSM2/DSMX. Or not equipped with a receiver, but delivered with a welded external receiver R-XSR from FrSky or Crossfire Nano RX from TBS. Weight ? 42 grams without battery (and with an SPI receiver). The FPV camera is an Ant from Caddx, a 1200TVL that works with a video transmitter integrated in the CrazyBeeX, compatible with 40 channels and a power of 25 mW (the maximum allowed in France) or 200 mW.
The connector for the power supply is an XT30, it expects 2S batteries of 350, 400, 450 or 520 mAh. There is no hatch to fix the battery: it’s up to you to manage with rubber bands (supplied). On the other hand, Happymodel delivers a support to install an Insta360 GO camera to come back with 1080p/25 videos. The price ? From $95.99 at Banggood (without postage and taxes). The camera is expected to be available from October 18, 2020.
