Unlike nano racers, the HGLRC Wind6 is a large format multirotor designed to fly fast. It is based on a carbon frame with 6 mm thick arms, for a 26.7 cm motor motor diagonal. The propellers are 6-inch (6042) Gemfan three-blade threshing machines. To animate them, HGLRC chose 2408 to 1700KV brushless motors driven by a 65A 4 in 1 ESC. The conductor is an F7 Dual Flight Control flight controller flashed with Betaflight and equipped with an active OSD.
The FPV part is provided by an Aurora V2 1200TVL camera combined with a 5.8 GHz video transmitter compatible with 48 channels. It can transmit at 0 mW (pitmode), 25 mW (the maximum allowed in France), 50 mW, 100 mW, 200 mW or 400 mW. The antenna is a polarized Hammer connected with an MMCX connector. The weight of the device, excluding battery, is 389 grams. HGLRC recommends 6S batteries to power the Wind6. The device will be available without a radio receiver, or with a Flysky A8S or FrSky XM+ receiver.
