MECHREVO Z2 Notebook

In 2019, my Lenovo Y580 is 6 years old this year. Although it can still serve, people are fond of the new and hate the old. Intel was forced to enlarge this year by AMD. The specifications and performance of 8-generation scaling CPU of mobile platform have been improved obviously, from 4-core 8 threads to 6-core 12 threads.

Before the release of the 8th generation CPU, the Xiaomi game notebook was my choice, for no other reason, the screen is good, the configuration is reasonable, the most important thing is the lightweight design (2.7kg is actually not lightweight), I am really sufficiently heavy notebook.

But I still choose this MECHREVO Z2. The reason is simple, it looks good enough, light enough, configurable performance is strong, carrying the eighth generation of processors, features are obvious.

At first glance, MECHREVO Z2’s appearance is the most amazing non-narrow border. The width of the left and right upper border is only 6 mm, which is not as wide as XPS 15, but it seems that the screen is almost touching the edge of the notebook. Not only is the screen narrow, but the keyboard border of MECHREVO Z2 is narrower. Crossing the entire C-plane, and complementing the narrow border of the screen, it looks even more shocking. Unlike the Xps15 oversize screen, the keyboard is small.

Then, notice that the AC side of Z2 is made of wire drawing metal. A side logo and two waistlines, no exaggerated appearance of the game notebook, and xiaomi game notebook, it looks like a notebook can take to work.

Its keyboard is similar to Aero15 as a whole. It belongs to full-size keyboard with narrow border. The difference is that the single button area of Z2 is larger, not floating island.

The touchpad in the position of the palm holder is large enough. Like Y580 before me, the palm feels smooth and the press is crisp and sharp. You can double-click the upper left corner of the touchpad to quickly disable the touchpad.

In terms of configuration, MECHREVO Z2 has a variety of options for users to choose from. I got the first game notebook with 6 cores and 12 threads on mobile devices, using Intel’s eighth generation Core sub-flagship processor i7-8750H. The graphics card uses GTX 1050 with 2G memory, which can easily cope with most of the mainstream games.

In storage, Z2 uses 256 GB PCIE SSD. With the help of the speed of PCIE SSD, whether speed or space, it can undoubtedly meet the needs of the vast majority of users.

For mobile devices, the number of interfaces is absolutely an important indicator of notebooks. Some mainstream products only use Type-C interface in order to be light and thin, but the practice of letting users carry all kinds of transfer equipment has been criticized unanimously. At this point, the I/O interface of MECHREVO Z2 is rich. There are two USB 3.0 and multi-function slots on the right side of the fuselage. On the left side, there are keyhole, network interface, USB 2.0, microphone and headphone interface.

After a period of comprehensive use, MECHREVO Z2 this game notebook overall performance can be said to be very good.
