The Chinese company Oukitel introduced a new rugged smartphone Oukitel WP1, which became the young version of the Oukitel WP2 and is already on sale for $190.
The Oukitel WP1 is a Mid-end phone that is presented as an option for all those users who need a suitable device for carrying out demanding activities and in extreme conditions without risk of damage. Its 5.5-inch HD screen, its dual rear camera by Samsung and its battery that up to triple the capacity of a standard mobile stand out above the rest of features.
The Oukitel WP1 is a real big phone made around an IPS panel of AUO 5.5 inches at a HD+ resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels protected by the Gorilla Glass laminate and with an oleophobic coating where the SoC that gives life is still a reason of secrecy, although it is logical to think that it will use a SoC MediaTek that will be linked to a configuration of 4 GB of RAM together with 64 GB of internal storage that can be expanded by means of a microSD card of up to 128 GB capacity.
It has also been announced the design of a double rear camera of 16.0MP + 2.0MP (The main sensor is a Samsung S5K2P7), we have a fingerprint reader on the side, WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth, 4G LTE with Dual SIM support, a important NFC ideal for workers or payments with the smartphone, and all this powered by a generous 5,000 mAh capacity battery backed by a USB Type-C connector adapted to 9V / 2A fast charging technology.
Like any other rugged, it is resistant to shock, falls, submersible in water, and is designed for extreme athletes, workers where your terminal may suffer some damage on a daily basis, or of course, as a good gift for the family ducky.
Although the company has not even revealed the full specifications of the Oukitel WP1, it already anticipates that its price will be under $200 to change, and if it uses a mediocre SoC MediaTek, it is logical to think that its price is high, always and when autonomy is not your priority, of course.
