Today we will consider not expensive TV boxing from China with the beautiful name SCISHION Model S (Not Tesla Model S, lol), which runs on the popular budget processor RK3229, running the fresh Android 8.1 operating system. Of particular note is the presence of a small LED-display on the front panel and Bluetooth-remote control with built-in microphone for voice search.

The device comes in two versions – with a silver case with a memory configuration of 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM – for $38.81.

Remote control with built-in microphone, to support the voice control function. Very comfortable and stylish, the surface is made with a combination of glossy and satin structure. Rubber buttons, when pressed, do not produce a loud and soft click. There are only the most necessary buttons – the inclusion of the console, mute, exit to the menu and the main screen, adjust the sound, imitate the mouse. a round joystick with the OK button for navigating through menus, backwards and a microphone activation button.

Remote control is completed with a separate instruction, which describes, among other things, the process of synchronizing the console with the USB adapter. To do this, hold down the keys “PG -” and “V -” and connect the adapter to the console. Also, the instruction describes the procedure for calibrating the G-sensor, but in this model it is not available.

The console is powered by a network adapter with a European plug. The declared characteristics of the adapter: input voltage 100-240V, 0.3A, output voltage 5V with a current of 2A. The power supply capacity is sufficient for the operation of the set-top box with an attached external HDD without additional power.

HDMI cable of the usual quality, about 80 cm long, almost all of the not expensive Chinese devices are equipped with similar ones.

The prefix is ​​assembled in a very compact plastic case, measuring only 12.00 x 12.00 x 2.50 cm. In appearance it may seem that the body is metallic but it is painted plastic. On the front panel there is a small digital display, shows only the inscription BOOT at boot and the current time at work. There is also an IR receiver for the remote control.

On the case there is no power button, so you can unplug or reload the console only by pulling out the power plug. On the left side there is a slot for the Micro-SD card to expand the internal storage and the hole for the reset button.

On the right side there are two USB 2.0 ports and one USB 3.0 port. It should be taken into account that one USB port will always be occupied by the Bluetooth receiver of the remote control, two USB connectors remain free. At the rear are the main connectors – HDMI output, AV-port (analog audio and video output, mini-jack), optical S / PDIF, Ethernet and a jack for connecting the power supply. On the bottom cover there is an identification sticker, ventilation holes and four rubber feet.

The SCISHION Model S TV Box is one of the first to run the new version of Android 8.1, and, naturally, may have some flaws in the software. But our experience with the prefix was quite positive, no serous problems were found. The prefix works quickly and clearly, all applications are launched and work without problems. The main feature of the model is the availability of the Android 8.1 system with the built-in voice assistant Google Assistant, which allows you to more comfortably enjoy all the advantages of a modern system.
