New Ulefone Armor 10 5G Smartphone to be delivered in early December

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Ulefone has been announcing since the end of 2018 that it intends to launch the first outdoor smartphone with 5G support. The first announcement referred to the Ulefone Armor 6, which of course was not released as a 5G version. Some time later in September 2020 there was another announcement about the plans. At that time it was announced that a Ulefone Armor 8 5G would be launched. For the first time there were concrete information about the equipment (Mediatek Dimensity 800) and even first render pictures showing the planned design. Since then, however, the project has remained quiet.

Now Ulefone is back and has announced that the first 5G Outdoor Smartphone will go on pre-sale at the end of November and will be delivered at the beginning of December. The curious thing is that in the announcement Ulefone is already presenting another new smartphone. Instead of the Ulefone Armor 8 5G, they are now planning to launch an Ulefone Armor 10 5G. And this is not just a change of name, but a completely different smartphone. The render photos shown here are visually very different from the Ulefone Armor 8 5G shown at that time. It is not clear why the manufacturer is constantly making a U-turn.

However, not so much has changed in the equipment. For example, the Ulefone Armor 10 5G is also to be equipped with the Mediatek Dimensity 800 and thus promises a very good performance. The Ulefone Armor 10 5G will be equipped with 8GB RAM and 128GB memory, a 5800mAh battery, 15W wireless charging and NFC, as well as a water- and dustproof design. At the rear, the Ulefone Armor 10 5G offers a quad camera with Samsung 64MP main sensor, 8MP wide angle camera, 5MP macro camera and 2MP depth camera. For selfies there is a 16MP front camera.
