Alfawise SG-949 Sonic Electric Toothbrush

The device is standard for an electric toothbrush. White vibrating head, on which the brush-nozzle is put on. The body itself is made of soft plastic touch, in the hand to hold it comfortably.
The modes of operation, as already mentioned, are five. The first two are white and clean. By name it is clear – bleaching and just cleaning. Between themselves they are not much different. Sensetive – for sensitive teeth, works somewhere in the floor strength from the first two modes. Next polish – bristles vibrate horizontally, for polishing. And the last massage mode – the regime simply alternates a strong / weak vibration. Switching modes is done by pressing the power button quickly. The last selected mode is memorized.
The size of the bristles at the brush seemed to me rather small. It’s like a child’s toothbrush. Photo with conventional brushes for comparison:
The first use was accompanied by very unusual sensations in the mouth. Because of the frequent vibrations it was very ticklish. Also, the sound brushes have another principle of action, they do not need to be pressed, but just easily led by touching the bristles of the tooth surface. In general, the teeth are individual pieces, it’s not for nothing that there are types of hardness of brushes – soft, medium, hard. Usually I use hard ones. And after switching from a conventional brush to a simple electric cheap oral-b – was really shocked. The teeth after cleansing were smoother, especially felt on the distant, slightly dented from the rest of the teeth wisdom, which are usually poorly cleaned with a normal brush. The sound brush seems to be more advanced and more effective, since I did not read the opinions (where exactly at this point, on the mousse) – when a person with a normal brush switches to an electro-wah effect, the usual one goes directly to the garbage. I had it.

Still someone wrote that also occurs and at transition from usual electro to sound – also wow-effect, and old oral-b with a round brush leaves for garbage. But unfortunately it did not have such an effect on me. Perhaps it’s a matter of habit and specialty of the teeth again. But the time for brushing my teeth with a sound brush has increased noticeably.

This is also facilitated by a small surface of the bristles. And just keep the bristles slightly leaning against the teeth it seemed to me not very effective in cleaning the plaque, often I started to brush and drive as usual. But unfortunately it did not have such an effect on me. Perhaps it’s a matter of habit and specialty of the teeth again.

Still very annoying timer – turn off the brush after 2 minutes of work, all these 2 minutes working with small pauses between intervals of 30 seconds, which are designed for each quadrant of the dentition. This time I never had enough, I cleaned my teeth every time on average not less than 3 minutes. Also did not notice a good cleaning between the teeth. The old coped with it much better.

About the time of work. On the first charge left for the whole night. It is stated that the brush can work 25 days from one charge. Surprisingly, it worked for me for 32 days, before the red charge indicator (see photo) lit up below, signaling a sown battery. And this despite the fact that I brushed my teeth at least 3 times a day, for 3-4 minutes.

The brush in general is executed quite qualitatively. I already dropped it and immersed completely the water (except for the part where the charging contacts), everything works fine. Bristle brushes – I do not know whether the truth is DuPont, but to them also no complaints (besides the size – my IMHO). Given that each nozzle will last for 2-3 months – this kit will last for 6-9 months. And this is for a thousand rubles for the whole set – a brush and attachments. Consumers to buy is also quite cheap – a set of 5 spare brush brushes will cost you only 3-4 bucks.

In general – an excellent inexpensive option for acquaintance with a sound brush. But personally for my teeth – did not go.
