Blackview X5 Smart Watch

Not only smartphones and tablets: the Chinese brand Blackview is preparing to market a new wearable product named X5.

After announcing pre-orders for the low-cost 4G tablet Tab-8, Chinese manufacturer Blackview has done the same with the successor to the still very recent X2 smartwatch from last May, now even more elegant in its unisex design, in the guise of Blackview X5.

The new wearable is proposed with an HD display (240 x 240 pixels) circular 1.3 inches, touch and color, protected by a Gorilla Glass 3 slightly curved at the edges (2.5D) for a question of visual angle: the back offers a heart rate monitor that, in addition to being able to detect for 24 hours the heart rate, in order to detect any arrhythmia, is also functional to provide the data necessary to tweak the workouts, as to duration and intensity.

Intended as a sportwatch, the Blackview X5 tracks various sports activities, such as running and walking, outdoor and indoor, cycling, exercise bike, rowing, tracking, and mountaineering: waterproof – in the metal chassis – up to 5 atmospheres, it is suitable for use in swimming, snorkeling, in the rain, snow, or in front of splashing water. In terms of well-being, there are also features such as sleep tracking, anti-sedentary reminder, and recording of the female fertile period.

Thanks to the processor Nordic NRF52832, and its Bluetooth module, you can receive from your smartphone, which also controls the music, notifications for SMS, calls, emails, and applications, so as not to miss important communications.

Even the autonomy factor has been taken care of: the battery, sized at 260 mAh, provides an autonomy of 45 days using only the functionality of the clock while, training 3 times a week for half an hour, turning the wrist 30 times to look at the time, managing 150 notifications per day with consequent awakening of the display, counting 5 minutes of various routines, the operation drops to still remarkable 10 days.
