Cubot J9 6.21 Inch Smartphone Triple Rear Camera Android 10.0 GO

CUBOT has also been offering “Budget Monster” in the smartphones of the “J” series for a while. The smartphones are characterized by particularly rectangular triple camera module and with the CUBOT J9, the manufacturer has now introduced the latest representative of the series. The China cell phone should offer a particularly long battery life, for which the manufacturer relies on a 4000mAh battery.

A striking feature of the back is certainly the camera module. Four cameras and a dual LED flash with two colors are hidden here. The main camera is again a 13MP unit based on the popular Sony with a large f/1.8 aperture. In addition, there is a 8MP 120° ultra-wide-angle camera, a 5MP depth camera that can focus up to 2cm away.

The display is very large at 6.21 inches and makes the CUBOT J9 a phablet. The manufacturer uses an LCD panel with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels. An advantage of the display size is that the smartphone remains relatively slim despite the large battery. The camera module is installed in a flat design and therefore does not protrude from the housing.

The processor used in the J3 is a Mediatek MTK6761 with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. The latter can be expanded via a micro SD card, whereby the smartphone offers a dedicated slot for this. So you don’t have to do without the dual SIM functionality even with a micro SD card inserted. In addition, the CUBOT J9 offers a rear fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth 5.0, a 3.5mm connection, global mobile phone support and the latest Android 10.0 GO including Google certification for Google Pay support.

In addition, it is inferred from the leaked pictures that J9 will only support Face ID for unlocking, without a back fingerprint module.

The J9 will be released in April. An exact start date has not yet been announced. CUBOT has not yet commented on the target price. Typical for the manufacturer, however, this should be set very low and move well below $90. In any case, the J9 looks extremely attractive and scores with its harmonious equipment. It will be interesting to see what the smartphone is good for in the end.
