2020 seems to mark a reversal of trend: while vacuum cleaner robot manufacturers such as Roborock or Viomi are starting to release “Classic” vacuum cleaners such as the Roborock H6, others, such as Dreame, the Xiaomi subsidiary known for its wireless vacuum cleaners, are entering the robot vacuum cleaner market with the new Dreame D9. A robot vacuum cleaner that on paper seems to be very aggressively priced.
Dreame has integrated a Japanese NIDEC motor into its vacuum cleaner robot which is able to provide a super powerful suction of 3000Pa. It is thus able to remove the dirt and clean deeply the floor and your carpets. To do so, it has 4 modes.
The side broom has a speed of 190 rpm, allowing it to pick up every corner of the dirt. The microfiber roller brush is wide enough to collect all the dust on the floor or on the carpets. And the 570ml dust container has a double filtration of particles up to 0.3µ.
The brand has decided to offer a 2 in 1 model which therefore has the cleaning function. The 270ml electronically controlled water tank has a leak-proof water control technology. It has 3 levels of water flow that can be easily modified via the Xiaomi Home APP (Low, Medium and High).
The cleaning cloth is made of super dense microfiber. It provides antibacterial cleaning capable of removing 99.99% of bacteria for a healthier cleaning experience.
Pioneer 2.0 is Dreame’s solution which, thanks to the various visual sensors, allows to quickly capture and process complex spatial characteristics. The vacuum cleaner knows how to locate itself and create a precise and fast map of your home. In addition, the brand has equipped this robot with an optical flow sensor on the underside to fix more precisely the location information and correct the path when moving in dark areas.
Dreame has integrated a huge battery of 5200mAh which will allow a maximum autonomy of 150 minutes and a cleaning surface of up to 250㎡. So it will have no difficulty to clean your house. Moreover it has the function of resumption of the cleaning cycle allowing the robot to return to its base to recharge itself when the energy is low in order to recharge itself and then resume the cleaning where it had stopped.
Moreover, the vacuum cleaner adapts to your home and is able to pass obstacles up to 2cm. And the brand has equipped it with no less than 14 sensors to detect obstacles, but also to avoid falls. Also, the vacuum cleaner does not have a laser turret allowing it to be ultra thin with a thickness of only 8cm.
Controllable via the Xiaomi Home application, the Dreame D9 Vacuum Robot is compatible with the China server, but also with the France server. The latter allows you to obtain a better stability and a faster reaction to your requests. The application allows you to change mode, view the cleaning status in real time and modify the house map …
The vacuum cleaner makes a map of your house without any problem from the first cleaning. Then, you can rename the different rooms easily, but also modify the map by creating virtual boundaries (area or wall). You will then be able to start a cleaning of your whole house, a selected room or even an area that you define directly.
