Although there is only one day left until the premiere of the flagship Huawei P30 series, the Chinese producer did not think about wasting it. Huawei Enjoy 9S and the slightly weaker Huawei Enjoy 9e enter the Chinese market.
Both phones already have their European representatives – in the case of Enjoy 9S it is Huawei P Smart+ 2019, while Enjoy 9e is actually Huawei Y6 2019, which in turn is a cheaper copy of Huawei Y6 Pro 2019. Complicated, right?
Huawei Enjoy 9S is a mean of blood and bone, as indicated by the sheet of its components. The list is opened by a Kirin 710 processor, a well-known unit equipped with eight cores and a Mali-G51 ARM graphics chip. It is supported by 4GB of RAM, one gigabyte more than the European version.
The amount of space for files varies between 64GB and 128 GB, but we can expand them with a hybrid slot for microSD card. It is worth mentioning that the smartphone works under the control of Android 9 Pie with EMUI 9. Huawei Enjoy 9S’s screen is characterized by a diagonal 6.21-inch and Full HD+ resolution, so the sharpness of the displayed image should be great. The characteristic feature of the panel is a water droplet shape.
The medium boasts a triple camera, which consists of 24 MP main unit, 16 MP wide angle unit and 2 MP mesh to collect depth information. Robust optical background is supported by an 8 MP selfie webcam. The cherry on the cake specification is a 3400 mAh battery, complementing the true mid-shelf specification.
Huawei Enjoy 9e boasts a slightly poorer specification, which is the result of a much lower price. Where will we find the biggest savings? The main cuts affected the central unit, which is not one of the HiSilicon Kirin processors, and the MediaTek Helio A22 chipset. The system is made up of four cores accelerating to a maximum of 2 GHz. The whole system is supported by 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory, so performance can be only average. On board you’ll find a 6.09-inch HD+ IPS screen, a single 13MP camera and LED, an 8MP self-portrait camera, and a 3020 mAh battery.
Both models may face a difficult future, given the bar suspended by Xiaomi and its Redmi Note 7. Average prices for pre-Chinese models will start on 2nd April and regular sales on 8th April.
