OnePlus follows a business strategy that may more or less appeal to you, but it certainly seems to work for you. The brand makes its smartphones obsolete every 6 months, and so it seems that this will happen again with the “new” OnePlus 5T that has been on the market for only a few weeks.
The launch of OnePlus 5T in November did not surprise anyone, as it follows the OnePlus strategy of last year. So it should come as no surprise that we already know that OnePlus 6 will be on the market early next year, further shortening the “life span” of the Chinese brand’s flagship ships. The latest information indicates that OnePlus 6 will arrive in stores at the end of March, to the joy of those who are waiting for the new mobile phone, and to the anger of those who have just bought the OnePlus 5T.
While some users might say, not without reason, that it is too early to launch this phone, sources close to the phone’s production detail that its launch could coincide in space and time with the celebration of the MWC, the fair par excellence of the mobile phone sector.
What features will we find in OnePlus 6? As for specifications, as expected, the OnePlus 6 would feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, which will be introduced in the coming weeks in great detail. Add to this an amount of RAM of around 8 GB and a storage base of 128 GB or more.
The main novelty that we would find in the OnePlus 6, as this year we have already received key features such as the dual rear camera or the 18:9 screen display format, would be in the location of the fingerprint sensor. While the current OnePlus 5T features the fingerprint sensor on the back, the OnePlus 6 could be one of the first smartphones to host this biometric sensor under the glass of the phone’s screen.
This would allow the fingerprint reader to be returned to the front of the device, without giving up the frameless screen format that we have already found at the current top of the range from the Chinese manufacturer. We look forward to receiving new information about the device as the technology fair to be held in early March in Barcelona approaches.
