The Android version has a total of three models with different sizes, such as “X8RK”, “X9RK” and “X10RK“, but this article introduces the “X8RK” which is 7 inches and the smallest size and low price.

The specs are not so new and the OS is as old as Android 7.1. It has just started selling at Banggood, but it may have existed as a model before. The CPU RK3288 has an Antutu score of 51,386 points in “Dospara Diginnos Tablet DG-A97QT” which was actually reviewed on Wintab before. However, since this is version 6 of Antutu, if version 7 I think it will be around 60,000 points. Although it is a score in the category of entry class, I think that it is a performance that is capable of playing games as well as basic Android operations (though it may be necessary to reduce the image quality setting depending on the type of game).

RAM is 2GB, storage is 32GB, which is the minimum capacity for smartphones. However, since this product is not a smartphone, it does not have LTE, 3G communication functions, and functions as a telephone, so I think that there are not many situations where RAM capacity is insufficient for ordinary use.

The display is 7 inches and the resolution is slightly lower at 1,280 x 800. However, according to the manufacturer, the brightness is very bright at 400 nits (400 nits on a Windows laptop is a luxury machine). And the input / output ports are amazing. Isn’t it unusual for an Android terminal to have this many input / output ports? There is a Chinese TV genre called “TV BOX”, which is an Android version of Windows mini PC, but PIPO X8RK is called “TV BOX with display”.

However, there is also a TV BOX in a bad sense. Does not have a battery. So you always need a power supply. Since the higher model PIPO X10RK has a battery, it seems that the X10RK is probably more convenient to use like a tablet.

It is a familiar “PIPO X series design”. It is a trapezoidal case. Although the size is slightly different, it is probably the same case as the Windows version of PIPO X8. By the way, the case is made of metal and seems to have a cooling fan. I think, “I don’t want fans, as expected.” This is from another angle. There are so many ports like this. Since it is a TV BOX, there is also an HDMI port, so external video output is possible.

This is an image of PIPO X8 for Windows. Looking at the size of this product, the width (long side) is 178 mm, so it is not different from a large smartphone. The length of the nubia RedMagic 3S, which we reviewed the actual machine the other day, is 171.7 mm, so it can be said that it is almost the same length as the X8RK when the case is attached.
