After Ulefone could not really convince with the Armor 8, the Chinese specialist for outdoor smartphones now delivers the Ulefone Armor 8 Pro. As usual, the Ulefone Armor 8 Pro is protected against dust and water according to IP68 and IP69. Accordingly, it is completely dust-proof and can remain in 1.5 meters of water for up to 30 minutes without damage. In addition, there are the plastic shock absorbers known from outdoor phones to protect the device in case of drops. Ulefone speaks of drop tests up to a height of 1.2 meters. Thus, the device should hold up well in demanding environments, such as the construction site or on the next outdoor trip.
Besides the aforementioned protection measures, the Ulefone Armor 8 Pro comes with a Helio P60 processor. In addition, there are 6 gigabytes of RAM and 128GB of hard drive storage. The front of the Armor 8 Pro is adorned with a 6.1-inch display with waterdrop notch in a 19.5:9 format, and a triple camera is used on the back. The relies on a 16MP main camera and a 5MP macro sensor, the last of the three cameras is not described in detail. The Armor 8 Pro is equipped with a 5580 mAh battery with 15 watts of charging and should thus easily last for long days. A fingerprint sensor and Face Unlock via the camera are available for unlocking the device. The whole thing is rounded off by NFC for mobile payments and stock Android 11 as OS.
The Armor 8 Pro is now on sale at AliExpress. It costs $169.99 there, and you have to add 19% import sales tax.
