The Armor X2 is a new and rugged entry-level smartphone from Ulefone, which was finally released today to the public loyal to the company. A smartphone with really incredible features especially compared to the price at which it will be sold. The only thing that makes me wonder is that its previous generation Armor X was configured to be higher than the X2. Because the Ulefone Armor X uses the MT6739 processor, which is more powerful than the MT6580 and supports 4G networks, the Armor X2 uses the MT6580 processor and only supports 3G networks.
The biggest problem with this “heir” is that he really did not. Ulefone Armor X2 is a copy-paste of the old model, and the only changes are the ejection of wireless charging and the release of a relatively new MT6739 processor. What kind of processor did you embed then? Believe it or not, it is our old Mediatek MT6580 – low end processor that came out in 2015 and we finally thought he was dead. If there is a zombie among the processors, that’s for sure, because he always gets somehow back from the dead.
For people looking for an inexpensive, strengthened phone processor, it will not be an overwhelming item, but we’re on the verge of 2019 and we think this processor can hardly satisfy the most basic needs. In addition, it is known for its warmth and not very overwhelmingly battery-friendly performance.
A better name for this model would be Ulefone Armor X Lite, but Ulefone obviously thinks it is better to fool the buyers. When will smaller Chinese producers realize that they need some kind of branding consistency, especially in popular models ?!
Ulefone has long dedicated itself to increasingly robust or defined “rugged” smartphones and the Armor series has received many compliments from the media and users. Ulefone Armor X2 is certified with IP68 protection and offers excellent performance in terms of impermeability, resistance to dust and fall. Its components, doors, robust design all contribute to the true nature of indestructible phone.
Beyond this, however, the new Ulefone Armor X2 has a 5.5-inch display in form factor 18: 9 and HD+ full-screen resolution. Not only because it boasts a quad core processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. The phone comes with a large 5.500 mAh battery, a dual 13.0MP + 5.0MP rear camera and an 8.0MP front camera for taking quality pictures.
The phone also supports front release with face or fingerprint recognition. As well as the NFC and Google Pay function, the dual SIM and Android 8.1 operating system.
