The Weichensi DQ12 seems to meet the demands of many readers after the appearance of mobile screens 15.6″ TBao in FullHD some time ago. This new screen is the same diagonal, it is also tactile but goes to higher definition with an UltraHD display.
The concept is identical, the Weichensi DQ12 is an ultra-thin 9 mm thick display that combines in mobility with a laptop computer to work in dual screen mode. Of course it can also support a game console, a smartphone, a MiniPC or any other classic device. You can even imagine fixing it to the wall to benefit from a really thin and tactile screen.
At 35.7 cm wide by 23 cm high, the Weichensi DQ12 weighs only 950 grams and allows a fairly complete connection to various devices. It can be connected in HDMI or USB type-C to the chosen display source.
The 15.6″ of the IPS screen displays on vertical and horizontal angles of 178° in 3840 X 2160 pixels with attractive features. The display announces UltraHD + HDR compatibility, a refresh rate of 60 Hz, a response time of 3 ms and a 100% Adobe RGB tile for true color control.
This secondary display can therefore become an interesting ally for all types of uses: Image retouching, video editing and 2D or 3D creation of course. Combined with a classic mobile laptop, it doubles the display surface and allows you to keep a screen free to work while leaving tools and other elements and the interface on the screen of your main machine.
It is also a great leisure tool with the possibility of connecting a mobile console or using it as a portable cinema, even if the 250€ requested by the brand is obviously a greater obstacle than for a professional purchase.
Finally, it is a pleasant interface for all classic uses: A MiniPC and Weichensi DQ12 combination makes it possible to discover a computer that will take up almost no space in use and no more space once folded and stored in a drawer or in a library. Combined with a smartphone, the UltraHD screen will allow you to follow a video anywhere without worries.
From a more technical point of view, the screen frame is cut in an aluminum block for greater strength, it offers a Micro USB port to power directly with an AC adapter. It comes with a complete set of cables (HDMI, USB Type-C) and even includes stereo speakers and a classic 3.5 mm audio jack. A USB Type-A port is also present, the machine seems to allow to take advantage of this interface to drive the machine connected in USB Type-C, it would be possible to connect a keyboard or a mouse on it.
Finally, the Weichensi DQ12 is delivered with a screen protector that prevents scratches and dust on its surface and also allows it to stand upright from several angles.
