No matter which of these situations you are imagining, a beamer always makes a good impression and makes the viewer even deeper and more intense. But the setting up of a projector is often connected with an annoying rat tail – The Android running XGIMI Z4 Aurora makes much better!

If only a small TV without sound system is usually in the living room, it is not done with the installation of a good projector. In the following, two speakers are set up to obtain a suitable sound and perhaps a separate screen, since the projector can also radiate only a distorted picture from the side by changing the sofa and the living room table. With the Z4 Aurora you get a practical home cinema solution around mini format.

Compact LED projector in record player look

Visually, the Z4 Aurora nostalgically reminds strongly of a record player. Only that you can not turn a plate here. However, the black field on the head of the device is quite a practical task – so the projector accepts gestures from the user’s hand. More about this later. With the dimensions of approximately 25 to 25 centimeters, the projector with a built-in LED technology allows screen sizes of up to 300 inches; so really movie feeling.

Looking at the Z4 LED projector directly from the front, you can see the square recess for the LED projector lamp on the left. The right side is adorned by numerous holes, which with the imprint “harman / kardon” already suspect what one will find here. A stereo system by Harman Kardon is installed, which can be heard. An additional cinema is still the better solution, however, the high-quality equipment of the brand manufacturer also provides for great sound and should even create a satisfying sound volume for action strips.

The projector is 3D-capable and allows the support of 4K movies. The native resolution of the LED projector is however 720p, thus 1280 x 720 pixels. This resolution is, however, more than sufficient for a sharp cinema experience. Contents can be controlled via HDMI, USB or AV inputs. 700 ANSI lumens represent the brightness and even in a slightly darkened room for a great color and contrast presentation. Only on the day with bright sunshine directly into the living room makes an anti reflection TV probably the better figure – one should consider the general purchase of a beamer, but should not be a KO criterion.

Bluetooth remote control and 3D gesture control

The LED lamp creates up to 30,000 hours. So you can operate the beamer for about 20 years with four hours a day. A further extra of the projector is the included Bluetooth remote control, which has got an acceleration sensor and a mouse function installed, very handy! The black plate on the head allows the user a 3D gesture control. So you control the volume or weight with the palm of your hand over the beamer through the air – with a rotating finger – and the song that has been played over the Android interface already changes.

The automatic perspective correction has also impressed us in the Crowdfunding video. So you can set up the projector where you only want – the projector always produces a balanced and undistorted picture. Even when you project the projection screen sideways. Although current models such as the LG PB60G offer a similar function, it only functions as a vertical keystone correction – a lateral shifting of the projector is not balanced.
