Xiaomi Mi 8X 4G Phablet
Everybody knows the Xiaomi Mi8 SE Smartphone based on Snapdragon 710 was introduced in May this year. Simultaneously with the release of new items in the network, rumors began circulating that the company still has one more model with a popular chipset on board. And today this information was indirectly confirmed by an insider who published a “live” photo of the unannounced Xiaomi Mi 8X.
Judging by the presented images, the smartphone will receive a glass back cover and will be available in at least two colors: white and blue. In the upper left corner of the device there is a dual camera module with LED flash. It is noteworthy that there is no dactyloscopic scanner on the case: the source claims that the sensor is located under the display.
Another insider said that Mi 8X will replace the next Mi Note in the company’s production calendar. He shared a photo on which Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun holds a mysterious smartphone with two cameras and without a fingerprint scanner on the back cover. The appearance of the device is very similar to the existing Mi 8X images.
The output of two Xiaomi gadgets running Snapdragon 710 was predicted by users of XDA Developers resource earlier this year . It was about devices under the code names Sirius and Comet. And since Xiaomi already introduced Sirius as Xiaomi Mi 8 SE, Xiaomi MI 8X may well be “the same” Comet.
The infiltrated Comet smartphone firmware files indicate that this is a Mi-series device with an OLED display that supports the Always-On Display feature. It is expected that the novelty will be announced with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, a 3000 mAh battery, support for two SIM cards and an infrared port. At the same time, the smartphone is supposed to lose a slot for microSD memory cards and NFC functions.
Information about the date of the possible announcement Xiaomi Mi 8X at the moment there, as well as detailed technical specifications. But insiders suggest that it will be introduced in September, at the same time as the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3.
