Xiaomi Roidmi F8
Xiaomi has crowdfunded the resources needed to develop a cordless vacuum cleaner. The result of this action is the “Roidmi Handheld Wireless Vacuum Cleaner”, or in short, the Roidmi F8. This new creation from Xiaomi won the iF Design Award for the excellent design in 2018. What else is there to know about the Roidmi F8, you will learn in the following.
Technical performance data
The vacuum cleaner has a motor that reaches up to 100,000 revolutions per minute. The suction power here reaches 115 watts, with a consumption of about 415 watts. The battery, when fully charged, has a loading capacity of 74 Wh, which allows you to work 55 minutes in normal suction mode, or 10 minutes in turbo mode. The Roidmi F8 weighs only 1.5kg, with the electric brush attachment 2,5kg. The main attachment was additionally equipped with an LED light source, which makes the sucking in dark areas, eg under the sofa, more pleasant.
User-friendly handling
For the Roidmi F8, a four-stage air filter system was used. The HEPA filter must be replaced regularly. Xiaomi has developed a very user-friendly app for the smartphone for this purpose. Status information on and the level of the vacuum cleaner bag can be obtained here (maximum filling volume: 0.4 liters). If the vacuum cleaner does not turn on, and only a flashing light appears, you will receive a notification about the problem that may be present through the app.
Delivery
The delivery includes a magnetic suspension, with which you can hang the vacuum cleaner on a wall. Unfortunately you can not recharge the Roidmi F8 with this suspension, you have to plug in the cable manually. Also included are two standard nozzles. If you order the vacuum cleaner now, you will receive as a gift a filter and two other attachments: a movable and a small turbo brush. All in all, you get as an early bird orderer accessories worth about $ 30. Separately, an attachment with rigid bristles for cleaning carpets is offered. The Roidmi F8 can currently be ordered in China for about $ 240.
