Xiaomi Mi A3 and Xiaomi Mi A3 Lite will be released in June

In just a few months, the presentation of Mi A3 and Mi A3 Lite smartphones should take place. The new Xiaomi devices work under the Android One operating system. Today, one of the authoritative portals published a report that says that the new smartphones will be equipped with a fingerprint scanner on the screen.

XDA-Developers portal reports that Xiaomi is preparing to launch three new smartphones. The devices appear in the reports under the following code names: Pyxis, bamboo_sprout, cosmos_sprout. The last two smartphones are Mi A3 and Mi A3 Lite. Absolutely all devices running Android One, are designated by the prefix sprout.

All of these smartphones are currently being tested with the fingerprint scanner, which is located on the display. New Xiaomi will be equipped with 32.0MP front cameras. Testing has shown that users will be able to take photos with a resolution of up to 6560×4928. Other specifications are kept secret by the manufacturer.

The pyxis smartphone will become an analogue of Mi A3 with MIUI software shell. Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite are equipped with different CPU. It is quite probable that this practice will be used in the process of production of new models. Foreign media report that Xiaomi chooses between several popular Qualcomm chipsets: Snapdragon 670, Snapdragon 675, Snapdragon 710. The price of Xiaomi Mi A3 Lite will be much lower, because this smartphone is equipped with a less powerful processor: Snapdragon 632, Snapdragon 636.

These are mid-range smartphones equipped with a dual main camera module. Last month, the head of Xiaomi’s new product development department confirmed that the fingerprint scanner on the screen will now be used not only in premium-class devices.
