Xiaomi will release an e-book on November 20

This morning the Xiaomi eco network presented a pretty clear announcement. The Chinese manufacturer will enter a new market. Already on November 20 will be the presentation of the e-book Xiaomi. Rumors that the company Xiaomi plans to enter this market, went quite a long time ago. Last year, the leading managers of the Chinese brand reported that work on the creation of the debut product is already underway, but the timing of the project is not disclosed.

The e-book market is almost completely monopolized. Amazon Kindle has no worthy competitors in this segment. The total dominance of the American brand lasts for 12 years. Amazon develops not only devices, but also maintains resources from which content can be downloaded, i.e. books.

The Xiaomi e-book was developed in collaboration with Multi-View. The manufacturer assures that the functionality of the novelty is not inferior to Amazon Kindle, but it costs much cheaper. At the same time, work is being done to launch services from which it will be possible to download books. Eco-network Xiaomi acquired the company Multi-View in 2010. Since 2012, planning for the launch of an e-book began.

The Chinese manufacturer plans to implement several useful functions: voice reading of books, automatic page turning, optimized version of PDF-format. The novelty will be equipped with a high-quality display, which does not have a negative impact on the organs of vision.

Update: The name of this e-reader is currently officially called: Xiaomi Mi Reader.
