Compact tablets, such as the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4, are not as popular today as before, because smartphones with large displays replace this category of devices. However, many people still use 10-inch tablets. As you understand, their main feature is a large display.
Today we will talk about the tablet ALLDOCUBE M5S. It has a 10.1-inch display with a resolution of 2K, a Mediatek Helio X20 processor, 3 GB of RAM, 6600 mAh and even support for two SIM cards. That sounds very impressive, does not it? Moreover, the price of this tablet is only 170 dollars.
Now let’s look at the design of ALLDOCUBE M5S. The tablet has a metal back cover of platinum color and a white front panel. The dimensions are 24.1 by 17.1 by 0.87 cm and weight by 510 grams.
The front panel has a 10.1-inch display with fairly thick frames. On the top is a 2MP front camera. On the rear panel there is another 5-megapixel camera and flash.
At the top you can find a removable part, under which is a slot for a microSD memory card and two SIM cards. There is also a 3.5 mm audio jack and a microUSB port.
The power and volume buttons are on the right side. The speaker grilles are located on both the left and right sides, which is very good. In general, ALLDOCUBE M5S has good build quality and looks great.
Speaking of the display, it has a diagonal of 10.1 inches and a resolution of 2K, 2560 x 1600 pixels. The IPS panel has good color rendition and viewing angles. The screen supports up to 10 simultaneous keystrokes. You can use the tablet on the street; but with a brightness of only 190 lux is inconvenient to use in direct sunlight. It’s better to look for a little tie.
ALLDOCUBE M5S is equipped with a really good processor Mediatek Helio X20 or MT6797. This is a ten-core processor with a maximum clock speed of 2.3 GHz. In addition, there is 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory. As I said, you can use microSD memory cards to expand the internal storage.
ALLDOCUBE M5S has a very good result in AnTuTu – about 101 thousand points. Also in the single-core test, it collects almost 1500 points and 4700 points in multi-core testing of GeekBench 4.
The next test I want to show you is 3DMark. It allows you to evaluate the graphics capabilities of the tablet. As you can see, the ALLDOCUBE M5S scores 900 points in the Sling Shot test.
The tablet has 64 GB of internal memory, but is it fast? Let’s see. As you can see, the read speed is 166 MB / s and the recording speed is 155 MB / s. Pretty good.
Finally, let’s look at the speed of Wi-Fi and the GPS test. I have an Internet connection of 100 MB, and Speed Test shows a download speed of 45 Mbps and a download speed of 52 Mbps. As for GPS, the measurement accuracy is about 4 meters.
So, the tests are OK, but what about real performance? Let’s play heavy games.
I want to start with PUBG Mobile, because this is the most popular game on Android, and most likely you will play it on the ALLDOCUBE M5S. The tablet automatically selects low graphics settings. In general, the game starts very well. I did not notice any big problems, delays or lags. Of course, this is not ultra-high graphics, but it’s very comfortable to play.
The next game is called Shadowgun Legends. This is a first-person shooter, and I want to say that it’s much easier to play on a 10.1-inch display than on a smartphone. If you are a real mobile gamer, it’s better to buy a gamepad, but you can also play without it. ALLDOCUBE M5S does a great job with this game, but from time to time you can notice the braking, because it falls fps.
The last game to date is called Asphalt Extreme. This is also a heavy game on Android, and ultra-budget devices are not able to run it. However, the ALLDOCUBE M5S has good hardware, so there are no delays or slowdowns not noticed. The graphics are good, the FPS is fine.
So, it was a performance test ALLDOCUBE M5S. The tablet has very good results from synthetic tests, and there are no problems with games. He runs any games on Android, including PUBG Mobile. I want to note that it’s very convenient to play on the 10.1-inch display.
The tablet is running Android 8.0 Oreo. This is a pure version of Android with multilingual support. 3 GB of RAM provide very good multitasking. You can open many applications without problems.
In addition, you can split the screen. This is very useful on a large display. You can watch videos on YouTube from one side of the screen and browse the websites on the second. In general, the user interface works very quickly and smoothly. We did not notice any problems.
The novelty is equipped with a 5-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel front camera. As you understand, cameras are not the main chip of the tablet, and they are intended only for video communication. Of course, you can take photos, but the quality is pretty bad. You can see some real examples of the photos below.
The tablet is equipped with a battery capacity of 6500 mAh. The charging power is 3.7 V. The manufacturer promises about 5 hours of video views, and our battery tests confirm this.
One of the main features of ALLDOCUBE M5 is the support of two SIM-cards. You can use 2G, 3G, but only Chinese 4G LTE-bands. In addition, dual-band Wi-Fi, 2.5 GHz and 5 GHz, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS are available. The tablet has a microUSB port for charging and connecting to a computer.
Sound is very important for tablets, because, most likely, you will often watch movies on it. ALLDOCUBE M5S has a dual speaker on the right and left sides. On the other hand, I can not say that the quality is high. The sound is quite loud, but it lacks bass. You can use a 3.5 mm audio jack to listen to music via headphones or to connect external speakers.
