Should we immediately buy a top-of-the-range flying camera or start with a camera with more limited features, but also at a lighter price. The answer is simple if your budget is tight! Eachine’s EG16 Winggod is one of those devices that inflates the torso, highlighting components such as a GPS for satellite positioning, a vertical camera for ground positioning, a 4K camera with a 120° angle that can be controlled at a 90° angle (apparently with the possibility of pointing the camera upwards), an altimeter barometer to automatically maintain flight height. Plus real-time video feedback, automatic flight functions such as RTH, points of interest, people tracking, gesture recognition, LiHV battery…
The EG16 Winggod remains an entry-level machine with low-power brushed motors, a low-cost camera without mechanical stabilization – Eachine ensures that it offers an anti-shake function to reduce the effects of vibration. It is possible to switch between the 4K camera and the one on the bottom of the unit – but the latter has a maximum size of 640 x 480 pixels. The video return is in wifi, with a high latency (which makes the notion of “real time” contradictory), with an estimated range of 300 meters, probably less in reality. A radio control is provided with the device, in 2.4 GHz. The autonomy, with the 1S 3.85V battery, is 14 minutes according to the manufacturer.
This is the strong point of this device: the EG16 Winggod is available at $142.56 at Banggood. Is it worth it? I do not give my opinion on the basis of a technical data sheet, I will wait until I have it in my hands to answer…
