This nano racer is equipped with slightly larger two-bladed propellers than those of the Toothpick, and the frame focuses more on impact resistance with its arched uprights. Does the Twig mean anything to you? No wonder, this Eachine device is a copy – up to the name! – of RacerXFPV’s Speed Racer Twig.
The Twig measures 11.5 cm diagonal from motor to motor, with dimensions of 10.5 x 10 x 10 x 4.5 cm. At the heart of the system is a CrazyBee F4 Pro V3 flight controller. Flashed with Betaflight, it offers an active OSD and a current sensor. A 2.4 GHz radio receiver with FrSky Non-EU D8 protocol is integrated on the card, with CISSO support. The flight controller is associated with a 4-in-1 ESC of 10A DShot600 which drives the engines, brushless models 1105 to 5200KV for Gemfan 3-inch 3025 bipale propellers.
The 5.8 GHz transmitter is compatible with 40 channels, for a power of 25 mW (the maximum allowed in France) or 200 mW, with SmartAudio support for remote control of settings. The camera is available in a version with a “simple” FPV camera, a RunCam Nano 2 700TVL with a 155° FOV and a D-WDR function to increase image dynamics. It weighs 64 grams in this configuration, without the battery. The other version is based on the new Caddx Baby Turtle hybrid camera, which allows time video feedback and HD footage recording at 1080p at 60 frames per second. Count 72 grams without the battery for this version.
The Twig is supplied without battery, it is up to you to equip it, via an XT30 connector. Eachine recommends Lipo or LiHV of 2S or 3S. Electronic components are capable of supporting 4S batteries, but it is not certain that the engines will be able to keep up. The price? The Twig will be available from $98.99 at Banggood.
