The market of smart watches and fitness bracelets is actively developing, and in any Chinese store you can find dozens, to be exact hundreds of such gadgets with different designs, and on any purse. If about such famous gadgets as Xiaomi Mi Band 3, Samsung Galaxy Watch, Huami Amazfit Bip, etc. on the Internet you can find a lot of information, reviews and instructions, then about most lesser known devices information is not so easy to find.
One of these gadgets is a fitness bracelet Newwear Q3, which, at its low cost, has quite good characteristics and a large set of features. Here we are now in detail and consider, as well as the application Hey Band, with which the bracelet interfaces with a smartphone. By the way, this model of the bracelet is produced not only by this manufacturer, there are also Bakeey Q3 and Rundoing Q3, which are no different from our today’s hero. For the quality of photos at once I apologize, took pictures of what was at hand.
The gadget is available in several color variants: black, gold and silver case, with a black gray or orange silicone strap. There is also a version with a metal braided bracelet of black gray or gold with a metallic latch. We have a black bracelet with a metal strap.
The body of the tracker in terms of size and design is very similar to Amazfit Bip. The bottom part of the tracker is plastic, and the upper part is made of some kind of metal alloy. By the way, Newwear Q3 comes already included, and, considering that it was coming from China almost 3 weeks, and the rest of the battery charge at the same time was 60%, the manufacturer claimed 60 days of autonomy in the standby mode sound quite realistic.
As already mentioned, we have a bracelet with a metal braided strap. It looks pretty good, although in the place of attachment to the tracker, it’s pretty much lyuftit. This is a small problem, in the presence of pliers and “direct hands”, this defect is easily eliminated.
While I was ordering the bracelet, for some reason I was sure that the screen was completely touch-sensitive, but by and by it is not so, and it only has one touch button at the bottom of the screen. But it is activated by raising your hand, and between the functions you can switch the rotation of your wrist. And this function works quite well.
Overall, the gadget is not bad, not counting a few scratches on the case. The manufacturer immediately attached a protective film to the screen, which is not bad.
The screen for Newwear Q3 is colored, but, as for me, it lacks the brightness. In the room on it everything can be seen perfectly, but in bright light, anything to see it has to be obscured. But this is the problem of most smart watches and fitness bracelets, so do not pay attention to this lack of attention.
The clock interface can be selected from four predefined options, there is also the possibility to create your own watch “face” in the application. Pressing the touch button cycles through the functions of the gadget: hours – steps, calories, distance – sleep monitoring – heart rate – blood pressure – sports modes – notifications – settings (camera control, music management, alarm clocks, bracelet off).
Switching between the functions can be a short touch of the sensor, and you can select a specific function by long pressing. With a long press, the pulse measurement or blood pressure measurement is activated. By measuring the pulse to Q3 there are no questions, the indicators are the same, as in the same Mi Band 2 and NO.1 F18, with a difference of 1-2 units and this even without calibrating the heart rate monitor. I would not particularly trust the measurement of pressure. It seems that it just adapts to the specified range when the application is installed.
When an incoming call is displayed, the caller’s number is shown on the screen, and it is possible to reject the call by long pressing the touch button. There is no dynamics in the device, therefore about calls and messages Newwear Q3 signals by vibration, and its vibration is very strong. With an incoming call or notification from social networks, the entire text of the message is displayed on the tracker screen, but it is displayed crookedly, some characters are large, some are small, but you can read it freely.
The gadget is powered by a 230 mAh battery. As promised by the manufacturer, one of its charge in standby mode is enough for 60 days. Judging by the rest of the charge at the time of receipt, it seems like the truth.
For a day of use with a constant interface with a smartphone, automatic pulse measurement (measures every 5 minutes) and pressure (once per hour), the battery discharged by almost 30 percent. That is, with this use the battery will have to be charged once in 3-4 days, which is a very good indicator. If you do not use all the functions, I think you can achieve 7 – 10 days of autonomy.
The New-Q3 battery is charged with a magnetic charging cable for about 1.5 hours. On the one hand, this charging technology is very convenient, and on the other hand there is a significant drawback. The magnet is not very strong, so with the slightest stir the cable falls off from the contacts.
It can not be said that Newwear Q3 is the best fitness tracker in its price category, but, in general, as an alternative to more expensive fitness trackers is quite a worthy option.
