The event held a few days ago in Paris, for the European launch of the Honor View 20 and Honor View 20 Moschino Edition, has also turned the spotlight on some of the brand’s accessories already known because they were available on the Chinese market last year. In addition to the Honor Watch Magic and Watch Dream smartwatches, which will soon be on sale in Europe for 179 euros, Honor dedicated a few minutes of its press conference to the presentation of the Honor Band 4 smart band and Honor FlyPods CM-H2S true-wireless earphones.
Honor Band 4 comes with a 0.95″ AMOLED display (224 x 120 pixels) 2.5D full color touch and some sensors (such as pedometer, heart rate monitor and IR) that will allow you to monitor sports activity, sleep quality and heart rate throughout the day. Being water resistant (diving to a depth of 50 meters), you can wear it during swimming sessions to monitor your workouts. It measures 43 x 17.2 x 11.5 mm and weighs 23 grams, including a 100 mAh battery that should provide 26 days of standby time, 17 days of light use and 6.5 days of advanced use (automatic sleep and heart rate monitoring).
Like all fitness trackers, Band 4 also integrates a Bluetooth 4.2 LE module and is compatible with Android 4.4 and above smartphones and iOS 9 and above, to send notifications about incoming calls and SMS, check the camera, connect to the GPS and activate the “Find my smartphone” mode. Honor Band 4 is already available in Italy at a price of 69.90 euros, in the standard version only (and not running), black or blue.
The Honor FlyPods Lite have the same style as Xiaomi Mi Airdots Pro, but are basically the close cousins of Huawei Freebuds 2. They are water resistant (IP54 certified) and feature an elegant and lightweight in-ear design. But they have a 55 mAh battery (half that of Freebuds) that should provide about 3 hours of battery life and up to 12 hours using the housing, which acts as a charging station. The headsets adopt a Bluetooth 4.2 module with a fast and stable wireless connection within 10m and thanks to the G-Sensor, they simplify all common operations through a fast and efficient “double-tap” control: double touch to answer/end calls and double touch to activate Play/Pause to Music. The Honor FlyPods Lite will be available on the European market at a price of 99 euros, in white and black.
