UniFormation S10 Review: The All-in-One Resin Printer That Washes and Dries for You

If you’re tired of juggling separate wash and cure stations, dripping resin across your workbench, and babysitting post-processing, the UniFormation S10 is the most ambitious attempt yet to collapse the resin workflow into a single desktop machine. It packs a 10.1-inch 16K LCD and an integrated 9-liter wash tank with heated drying into one chassis. But “fully automated” comes with caveats, and the price tag is still a mystery.

What It Is

The UniFormation S10 is a desktop resin 3D printer that integrates the entire print–wash–dry workflow into a single enclosure. The manufacturer claims it’s the world’s first fully automated desktop resin printer, and technically, it’s a fair description of what the hardware attempts.

The core innovation is spatial: instead of removing a resin-coated part from the build plate, carrying it to a separate wash station, then moving it again to a curing chamber, the S10 keeps everything in one place. A 9-liter wash tank sits alongside the print chamber, followed by a heated drying stage that operates between 35°C and 45°C.

But “fully automated” has a specific boundary here. The S10 automates washing and drying after printing. It does not automate support removal or final UV curing. Those steps remain manual, and the curing module is sold as a separate accessory.

Assisted release film with a secondary separation layer

This is the most technically interesting part of the S10. Underneath the standard NFEP film, UniFormation adds a second separation film that the company claims reduces peel forces by more than 30%. In practical terms, lower peel force means less stress on supports and thin walls during each layer separation. If you’ve ever lost a print three hours in because a support snapped, you understand why this matters.

Pressure-based foreign object detection

The S10 uses pressure sensors to detect debris or cured resin fragments in the tank before they ruin an entire print run. This is a quiet but meaningful feature — most resin print failures from contamination aren’t discovered until halfway through a print, wasting both resin and time. Early detection can save both.

Automatic resin feeding

A refill system keeps resin levels consistent during long prints. For prints exceeding 10 hours — common with detailed miniatures or dental models — this eliminates the mid-print pause and manual top-up that breaks workflow momentum.

The Fine Print

The nine-liter wash tank needs maintenance. A wash tank this large means significant solvent consumption. UniFormation is positioning a “fluid station” for workshop environments that can serve up to three S10 printers, handling wash liquid replenishment and regeneration. A two-stage coarse-wash and fine-rinse process is claimed to extend wash liquid lifespan by roughly 50%. But that’s a separate setup. Single-machine owners will still need to manage solvent replacement and disposal themselves.

The machine is big. At 620 × 340 × 620 mm, the S10 occupies considerably more desk space than a standard 6-inch or 8-inch resin printer. The integrated wash station is the reason — it adds physical depth. If your workspace is tight, measure twice before ordering.

No price, no release date. As of this writing, UniFormation has not announced pricing or an official ship date. The dedicated product page is live with several demo videos, but the commercial details remain undisclosed.

Target users are defined. UniFormation specifically names miniatures, dental models, and detailed prototypes as the S10’s intended applications. That’s a sensible scope — these are all categories where 16K resolution and a clean, integrated workflow deliver the most value.
