The Amazfit Bip released in July 2017 has not said its last word. The inspiration for the Amazfit GTS is provided with an “S” version. Presented on January 06 at CES 2020 in Las Vegas, the Amazfit Bip S gives a new lease of life to the Bip range while retaining a fairly attractive price.
No news regarding the design of the Amazfit Bip S. Thus, it keeps the same design with a TFT color screen of 1.28 inches of square shape. Its definition of 176 x 176 pixels provides excellent visibility. Only the 20mm bracelet evolves with a new generation polycarbonate material with greater resistance to soiling and wear.
The big improvement concerns the sports modes available on the Amazfit Bip S. Consequently, we find 10 different sports modes, double the previous version: – running – running on treadmill – bike – walking – walking on treadmill – elliptical trainer – weight training – yoga – swimming.
Like the rest of the Amazfit range, heart rate monitoring is done continuously and allows you to warn in sport mode of a frequency higher than normal. Knowing that compared to the previous version, the new cardiac sensor improves accuracy by 98% and reduces energy consumption by 15%. In addition, the Smartwatch like the Amazfit GTR offers PAI assessment which measures the impact of physical activities on your body.
For the GPS part, the improvement will be felt, with the implementation of a new Sony chip which provides better precision and improved energy consumption.
Regarding autonomy, the Amazfit Bip S has the same battery capacity as the previous version with 190mAh. Which gives it 40 days of autonomy and 22 hours with GPS activated. Compared to the first Amazfit Bip of the name, it loses 5 days of autonomy.
