After the Deerma DX800S, which we already found good, the slightly stronger version of the cheap Dibea C17 battery vacuum follows. Especially in terms of price/performance, the Deerma battery vacuum cleaners seem to be very far ahead. Also the Dibea D18 for $89.99 on Gearbest.com has some similarities to Dyson and stands out because of its color scheme. The performance of the compact vacuum cleaner is still 120W with two suction stages with 4000 Pa and a maximum now stronger 9000 Pa which is very good for a compact, modular battery vacuum cleaner even if for example the Jimmy JV71 reaches a maximum of 18000 Pa, but plays in a different price range.

The scope of delivery and thus the accessories of the Deerma VC20S are extensive. The 100W powerful battery vacuum cleaner has 3 different attachments as well as the tube to quickly upgrade the compact hand vacuum cleaner to a fully-fledged battery vacuum cleaner. Ideally, the vacuum cleaner comes with an English operating manual and a suitable European power supply unit. The battery of the vacuum cleaner has a voltage of 14.4V at a capacity of 2200mAh and needs between 4 and 5 hours to fully charge the battery. The maximum suction level of 9000 Pa (9 kPa) achieves a battery life of up to 25 minutes, whereas the lower suction level of 4000 Pa (4 kPa) achieves up to 45 minutes.

The latter, however, will be used less frequently, as the suction power is noticeably lower and is certainly somewhat cumbersome for carpets. According to Deerma, one can clean up to 120m² with one battery charge. With larger flats or a continuous vacuuming on the highest level, one will probably not be able to avoid a second battery charge. Dust, lint and hair are therefore the ideal terrain and carpets are no problem for the Deerma VC20S.

Ideally, the dust chamber of the Deerma VC20S with 0.6L. The emptying takes place at the push of a button whereby the lower flap at the handle opens and releases the contents. With larger rooms / flats one will not be able to avoid an intermediate emptying nevertheless surely and/or depends on the degree of pollution. In addition to the floor nozzle with driven carpet brush and integrated LED lighting, there are also 2 suction attachments that are ideal for corners and edges.

The attachments can be used both with the supplied suction tube and directly on the hand vacuum cleaner. Due to the modularity, the VC20S can be used as a fully-fledged battery vacuum cleaner as well as a compact hand vacuum cleaner, just like its little brother the DX800S. The total weight of only 1.8kg (the DX800S weighs 3.5kg) makes transport even easier, which is why there are hardly any signs of fatigue when using the vacuum cleaner.

Since the predecessor DX800S has already provided a good price/performance ratio in several reviews, the VC20S is also a worthwhile investment that costs significantly less than comparable brand devices. Therefore you can access it without hesitation if you don’t have to struggle with stubborn dirt in your home.
