Roborock does not tire of production, the company, which has been listed on the Chinese stock exchange since February 2020, has announced two more vacuum robots for this year. One thing now seems to have gotten started. The household manufacturer has now announced the Roborock T7 ( Roborock S7 for Worldwide) via the official Weibo account. What will the new flagship model be able to do?

Xiaomi invested in what was then a young company in 2014, but Xiaomi now only holds 35% of the Chinese robot vacuum manufacturer. We are still looking forward to the market launch of the company’s first cordless vacuum cleaner, the Roborock H6, when Roborock takes the next blow.

With the capital released by the IPO, they want to develop new robots and a data analysis platform. Both could have already been incorporated into the new model, the T7 comes with a new RR Mason 7.0 algorithm, which should optimize the real-time data acquisition and analysis in comparison to the previous models.

Thanks to the in-house algorithm, Roborock expects further improved navigation and cleaning planning. There should also be an optimized environment detection so that the T7 moves more intelligently under tables and chairs and perceives obstacles better. In addition to the LDS (laser distance sensor on the top), the robot will probably have received some new sensors. Of course, it can also be controlled again via the Xiaomi Home APP or the Roborock APP.

The only pictures published so far show that the robot will have three controls on the top , which can be used to switch it on and off, start, stop and send it back to the charging station. Visually, it looks more like the Roborock S6, but an electric water tank has also been teased.

With this water tank, the T7, like the S5 Max, will be able to regulate the amount of water in the app that drips from the tank onto the microfiber cloth on the underside. It remains to be seen whether or how the tank of the T7 will differ from that of the S5 Max. The floor storage included in the software package (multi-floor mapping) is more enjoyable and innovative . This will enable the user to create multiple maps and thus multiple floors and display them in the app. So you can let the T7 work on several floors without running the risk of losing a previously saved card.

Roborock is a guarantee of good technology in the vacuum robot market. It is not for nothing that the Chinese act as ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) for the tech giant Xiaomi and thus produce all Xiaomi vacuum robots . The expectations of every new product are correspondingly high.

Strictly speaking, only the T7 has been announced so far and not the S7. Experience shows, however, that the Chinese version, which is usually marked with “T”, always appears first, and then the “S” version for international sales.

It is too early to estimate the Roborock T7, we will learn more in a few days and provide you with further information here.
