Xiaomi ROIDMI EVE Plus Robot Vacuum Cleaner

After a long period in which images of the new robot vacuum cleaner from ROIDMI were still appearing on the Internet, on the occasion of the Black Friday event, the first robot vacuum cleaner with automatic emptying function debuted on the Geekbuying.

This is the ROIDMI EVE Plus from Xiaomi, a robotic vacuum cleaner that resembles the rest of the models launched so far, the differences being visible mainly at the charging base, where we have a system through which the dust container empties automatically every time the device finishes vacuuming and returns to the base for loading. Although at first glance the operating system seems to be quite complex, in reality the automatic emptying of the vacuum cleaner is quite simple.

The charging base has a pump inside that draws dust from the vacuum cleaner and puts it in a textile bag inside. While the dust container is empty, the noise is quite loud, which may be annoying to some people. However, the vacuum cleaner also offers the possibility to schedule the emptying of the dust container, in case you do not want to start this process every time you finish vacuuming the house.

The bag can hold the contents of the vacuum cleaner container for up to 30 days, and when it is full it must be replaced. The charging base also integrates a small LED display that indicates when to change the bag. What is not mentioned is whether the 30-day autonomy is for daily operation.

The navigation system that ROIDMI EVE Plus is equipped with is a state-of-the-art one, it uses an LDS sensor that scans the home, calculates the optimal route, shortens the cleaning time and improves the cleaning efficiency. It can save up to 5 maps, this feature is useful for multi-level homes.

Like the rest of the ROIDMI vacuum cleaners, the application used to control it is Xiaomi Home. From the application you can set a cleaning schedule (to start in a certain order or at a certain time for each room), you can create virtual walls or you can choose to vacuum only some areas.

The suction power is 2700 Pa, being currently the most powerful robot vacuum cleaner launched by ROIDMI. Until now, the V3 model was in the top of Viomi, with a power of 2600 Pa. In both cases we are talking about a suction power high enough to clean the house very well.

The dust container inside the vacuum cleaner has a capacity of 3000 ml. It also includes the function of a mop, with a water container with a capacity of 300 ml, which promises to be able to wash an area of ​​up to 250 square meters. From the application you can set the amount of water it can release, on 3 levels, depending on the area you will wash. So, we have an electric pump, as we find in the top models from Viomi or Roborock.

In terms of autonomy, ROIDMI EVE Plus integrates a battery with a capacity of 5200 mAh, which can ensure up to 3.5 hours of operation (most likely not at maximum suction capacity).

As you might expect, the price is commensurate with the specifications. It was also normal to cost more than a regular robot vacuum cleaner, given the top specifications it can boast, but also this function for automatic emptying of vacuumed dust.
